This high usage contributes to a national crisis where post-consumer plastic waste exceeds 1 million tonnes annually. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) reminds us that plastics, particularly single-use items designed for immediate disposal, do not decompose. Preparing the Ingredients
We begin by thoroughly cleaning and shredding post-consumer plastic waste into small, uniform flakes. This ensures the plastic is ready to be seamlessly integrated into the road mix.
The Mixing Process
We heat the traditional stone aggregate to a specific temperature. The prepared plastic flakes are then introduced into a specialized paddling chamber and melted down, coating the heated stones.
Creating the Final Mix
Finally, a small amount of bitumen is added to the plastic-coated aggregate. This creates a strong, cohesive, and resilient asphalt mix that is ready to be applied, ensuring a durable and high-performance road surface upon paving.
